For cooked cabbage this was quite good really. I did add some flavor with 4 beef stock cubes and a splash of vinegar and sugar. And I used all 4 tbs chili powder and it was right on.
This is interesting, and a good change of pace recipe. I cut way back on the chili powder as well, and should have cut back more. We all need to pay more attention to Suzy's notation that the chili powder is 'to taste'.
I saw this on Paul Deen's show and it sounded interesting, but I had actually forgot about it until recently. After some searching I found it again, and I'm glad. This is really, really good. I did cut back on the chili powder and only used 2 Tbl., that is plenty in my opinion. Very, very good.
This is really good. I didn't have a can of Rotel, so I used some taco sauce. I think it would have been better with Rotel. Good alternative to cole slaw.
So good and the colors are so pretty in this slaw! I used green onions and added 3 gloves of garlic and a bit less than a tablespoon of chili powder for us. For folks that love hot this will be a great recipe. A great slaw for summer cookouts.
