These are awesome. So quick and easy, and best of all, things you have on hand.
- butter, for greasing muffing tins
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin with butter.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and milk, blending with a rubber spatula. Add the sugar and mayonnaise, and stir until just combined. Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
The title kinda throws you off for this recipe since this recipe produces more of a biscuit than a roll. BUT it is a very good and simple to make biscuit. I added some basil, oregeno, garlic powder, and onion powder to the flour to make a "kicked up" version. Very good biscuit that may be even easier to make than a roll with bisquick!
I'm sorry, Wannabecook, but these came horribly. I must have read the recipe over 2 dozen times because 1) the batter was real lumpy and sticky and hard to get into the muffin pans 2) they cooked for over 20 minutes and never did get brown and the middles were still uncooked! I don't know if an ingredient was left out or what I did wrong, but I really can't even give it one star. Sorry.
