A dear friend of mine passed this recipe my way after I had eaten a ton of these at her house. They are great as a party platter item, with sandwiches, or just on their own. Give them a try, no one will believe how easy but good they are!
- 1 gallon dill pickle slices
- 5 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons salad oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 cup wine vinegar
- Drain juice from the gallon of pickles.
- Discard the juice.
- Mix together the sugar, salad oil, garlic powder, and wine vinegar.
- Pour mixture into jar and let set for 24 hours in the refrigerator to set.
- Place lid back on jar.
- DO NOT tighten the lid.
I have made these several times and I always add more garlic, like a tablespoon. GREAT RECIPE!!! Theya re very addicting. Thanks for posting Baby.
