People who have to take heavy-duty pain medications on a regular basis typically get constipated -- it's a BIG problem. The food you eat can affect this dilemma. Here's a recipe to relieve this bothersome difficulty without having to add more pills to your medical regimen.
- Peel the oranges.
- Cut them in half and separate the sections. Sprinkle the sugar (or, you can use Splenda) over them.
- Snack on the orange sections over a 1-hour period each and every morning.
- NOTE: DON'T substitute grapefruit for the oranges if you're taking blood pressure medicine -- grapefruit causes an undesireable drug interaction.
