People who have to take heavy-duty pain medications on a regular basis typically get constipated -- it's a BIG problem. The food you eat can affect this dilemma. Here's a recipe to relieve this bothersome difficulty without having to add more pills to your medical regimen.

  1. Peel the oranges.
  2. Cut them in half and separate the sections. Sprinkle the sugar (or, you can use Splenda) over them.
  3. Snack on the orange sections over a 1-hour period each and every morning.
  4. Relief!
  5. NOTE: DON'T substitute grapefruit for the oranges if you're taking blood pressure medicine -- grapefruit causes an undesireable drug interaction.
