These were my mom's favorites.
- Core, pare and chop apples into bite-size chunks.
- Place in saucepan with water over medium heat.
- Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Add butter and cook, covered, about 15 min.
- ,until hot and tender, but not mushy.
- Makes 8-12 servings.
This is just like my chunky applesauce, only I don't add the butter. Incredibly good! It goes great with just about any meal, especially pork chops!
