A quick pie crust!
- Mix butter, egg, flour and salt well but lightly, until dough forms.
- Spread dough on bottom and 1 1/2 inches up side of 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake at 450 deg F for 5 minutes.
- Cool and fill.
Mmmmm---very good crust. Flakey with a hint of detectable sweetness. Very comforting! This worked wonderfully with the banana cream pie that I gave a trial run for Thanksgiving. I did cook for 7 minutes because my oven is a bit wierd. But, I would begin checking it at 5 minutes for sure. It was very easy to put together and will take all the work out of getting this pie onto our Thanksgiving dessert table. Thanks, Pixie!
