This is the authentic Italian version of this dish as per my Nonna Theresa. It was my go to comfort food growing up and I still love it at 65! Be sure to use the liquid that comes with the peas or it won't be the same. Enjoy!

  1. Saute onion in oil until transparent.
  2. Add peas, liquid and seasonings and simmer for 5 minute.
  3. Meanwhile, cook pasta in 4 qts salted water until al dente and drain.
  4. Add pasta to pea mixture and mix well. Sprinkle with some grated Parmesian if desired.
  5. ENJOY!
