  • Beat eggs, sugar and oil until mixture is light colored. Add cake meal and mix well.
  • Pour half of batter into a lightly greased 8 or 9 inch glass baking pan.
  • Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle about half the topping mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Pour half of the apples over the batter.
  • Pour the rest of the batter over the apples and cover with the remaining apples.
  • Sprinkle evenly the rest of topping over the apples.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours or until the sides of the cake pull away very slightly from baking pan.
  • Cool completely and store wrapped in Saran Wrap.
