Pass the Puck Pork Chili

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 (796 ml) can diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (540 ml) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
directions
- In a saucepan, heat oil. Add pork, onion, garlic, and peppers.
- Cook over medium heat until pork is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Stir frequently breaking up pork. Add tomatoes and seasonings.
- Simmer gently uncovered for about 1 hour. Add a little water if mixture becomes too dry.
- Add beans and simmer for 10 minutes longer. Serve with a dollop of sour cream or sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese and broil just before serving.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
