This is my first recipe post. Made this for a school project and was a real crowd pleaser. I had it with fresh squeezed lemonade, even though everybody love both, this one was preferred. Very healthy, too. It's a Belizean recipe.
- 2 cups chopped mangoes, pureed (fresh or frozen)
- 5 cups cold water
- 1⁄2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar (dissolved in 1/2 boiling water in saucepan, over low heat)
- Mix pulp with the 5 cups water and dissolved sugar.
- Add the lime juice.
- Serve with cracked ice.
This is a fantastic refreshing drink,I needed something new to do with the hundreds of mango's we got of our trees and this drink is definatly a keeper
i made this driink and it was delicious but I didn't love it but I love mangoes
Very nice sweet tropical drink. I should have used advice of other posts and used less sugar or splenda as it is a bit sweet for my taste. It would also be great as an alcoholic drink with a bit of vodka or maybe rum...
