Light fruit salad, breakfast or dessert! Perfect for hot summer days.
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1⁄2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
- 1 ripe papaya, halved and seeded
- Combine lime juice and honey.
- Slowly stir in yogurt, until consistency of a creamy sauce.
- Pour sauce into the center of the papaya halves.
The simple yogurt sauce is perfect to compliment the papaya - This sauce will be good on any fruit or fruit salad. So simple to make too . I was lucky and found the small papayas (half just right for 1 serving) Thanks for posting this delish recipe ~Bekah~
I prepared it as suggested but using nonfat vanilla yogurt.This sauce is great with any fresh fruit salad it gives it a new twist without masking the true natural taste of your selected fruits. Will be using this recipe much more often, It prooves that imagi- nation and creativity is our best culinary tool. Thanks
This made a great afternoon snack for me combining one of my favourite fruits with some of my favourite flavours! I reduced this recipe for one by halving the dressing and using 1/4 of a papaya. For ease of eating I peeled the papaya and cut it into cubes before combining with the delicious dressing. Even though it is winter I thoroughly enjoyed this and will make it again!
