I posted this so I can remember how Papaw (my dad) "dresses up" canned green beans, so I can make them "for a crowd".
- 1 (104 ounce) canallens Italian cut green beans
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- Dump all ingredients into a 4 quart pot.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Turn heat to medium & boil for 1 hour.
