Simply splendid. Used some sourdough that was getting stale. I could up huge bowls of this!
What a great salad! One tip I would offer is get the best balsamic vinegar you can find to make the dressing. Chopped the onion so it was in smaller pieces, DH doesnt care for a lot of onion, used turkey bacon, and an italian loaf of day old bread. I will be making this for us again! The first time I've made panzanella and I'll look no further for another recipe. This was fabulous! I don't usually eat raw tomatoes, but the seasoning in this salad made them wonderful. I used a peppered bacon, so there was a bit of a spicy bite to the salad. Easy to make and just wonderful for a hot Florida evening! Thanks for posting - this is a keeper for me! By far the best Panzanella Salad I've ever made! Super easy to make-flavor explosion in your mouth! I was cleaning out my "need to review" pile and this one was on top with a huge star-it really is over the top good!
This is just delicious. I didn't change a thing, just reduced the amount of servings and just a tip - it isn't light if you eat it all, LOL. I did use turkey bacon, next time I'll just use real bacon, the amount of fat it saves is minimal. This is a keeper.
This was wonderful! We had overnight guest last night and served this for dinner. I also added some red bell pepper to the salad, other than that followed your recipe. Unfortunately forgot all about taking a picture until it was too late . . . blame on the wine! It was perfect, thanks for sharing.
Excellent Panzanella Salad. My SIL actually liked this more than the rest of us. It had a very strong basil taste, but he loved it. I'll decrease the basil then next time for our taste. SIL took the recipe and some of my fresh basil home with him. Thanks
