This is an old standby for just about anything I need gravy for when I don't have drippings from meat.

This is my favorite recipe for biscuits and gravy. I usually use the grease from the sausage instead of the butter. Sometimes I use 1/2 beef broth and 1/2 milk (instead of all milk). And I always add a tsp of dried onion flakes and plenty of pepper. YUMMO.

  1. Add flour to butter in pan.
  2. Always use equal amounts of flour and butter.
  3. Stir butter and flour together until smooth and cook over low heat, stirring steadily.
  4. Take from heat, stir in cool milk slowly.
