And boy does it work! Brings back memories of the old "Soggy Dollar" on Jost Van Dyke!
Make and share this Painkiller recipe from Food.com.
- 2 ounces pusser's dark rum
- 1 ounce cream of coconut
- 4 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 ounce orange juice
- Shake or stir ingredients, and pour over ice in a tall glass. Sprinkle nutmeg on top, and serve,.
That's the ticket! Takes me right back to the Soggy Dollar and the reason I'm Jost Lori!!! The one thing I would stress is that using freshly grated nutmeg makes all the difference in the world. Oh, and shaken, not stirred. LOL
We used Cruzan Blackstrap Rum, since that was the only dark rum we had. It made the drink look like an iced coffee with milk, but it sure didn't taste like one! Very smooth and nicely balanced flavors. Wow, this is good! Made by a Saucy Senorita for ZWT5.
Oh my god, this was awesome, really great flavor, very close to the Cheddar's painkiller. I didn't have enough cream of coconut so I used some puree from Island Oasis. It really did take away a headache I couldn't get rid of. Major plus!
