mmmm, delicious! I can't stand the idea of shortening, so this was a perfect recipe for me. Yummy and easy. I did use almond extract instead of vanilla, and while I might decide to use vanilla next time, the almond has a nice little flavor to it (maybe too strong, though - also might lessen the almond to half a teasp). OMG! So amazing.... and easy... I accidently used double the butter so i made a double batch... Loads of icing to use now! I used almond extract instead of vanilla and it is deeeeeelicious! I will use this recipe for special occasions from now on!!!!!! highly reccomended... Now if my dd and i can only keep our fingers out of it till the cake is out of the oven... lol

Easy and Delicious!
I like this recipe since I prefer not to use shortening, which many buttercream recpies call for. I doubled this recipe and it was enough to frost and decorate 2 13x9 cakes stacked on top of each other.

Oh yummmmyyyy! Fantastic frosting! Not too sweet and just the right texture.
This is a delicious frosting. I used regular margarine, because that is what I had softened. I am sure it is even better with real butter. I also halved the recipe. It was just sweet enough and nice and easy to spread. I used it for Valentines sugar cookies - pink with Valentines M&Ms.
