  • Mix all ingredients together, then turn onto the greased grill in one heap.
  • Flatten it a little. Fry like an omelet or a pancake, turning several times to brown well on both sides.
  • Serve with sprinkled with Japanese dark red pepper, soy and worchestershire sauces.
  • Cut in half to serve.

  1. Celticevergreen, What you have here is a recipe for okonomyaki, which for some reason folks call "japanese pizza". In the Kansai (southern) area of Japan, this is served with a slightly sweet mayo and okonomyaki sauce which is a lot like katsu sauce. Your recipe is quite accurate - your parents must have great memories of this dish! I like mine with oysters, but any sort of seafood can be used - shrimp and squid are both quite popular!
