  • Broil oysters in 9 x 9 inch pan to remove excess liquid (only about a minute); drain.
  • Meanwhile saute butter with garlic.
  • Add chopped spinach and saute until wilted.
  • Add anisette and set aside.
  • Spoon spinach mixture over oysters (either in the 9x9 inch pan or on individual oyster shells).
  • Mix the spring onions, egg, mayonnaise, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Romano cheese, and dry mustard; spoon over spinach mixture.
  • Return to broiler and cook until browned on top .
