I have to start by saying all I made was the Cinnamon Banana Syrup so this review only applies to that part of the recipe but it was so good I am sure the french toast part will be great too when I have ice cream in the house. Today I wanted to make french toast for my son's birthday and was looking for a banana french toast recipe and found this. The syrup was such an intriguing idea I made it to go along with Greaneyes' Banana French Toast Greaneyes' Banana French Toast. I browned the banana slices in butter before I made the syrup as directed in this recipe and it was the hit of our breakfast. Everyone ate it even those not crazy about bananas and we were all coming up with suggestions for how to use it - over cake, crepes, ice cream or just spoon it up and enjoy! I think it might make fabulous Bananas Foster with some rum added or even a Banana Shortcake. Thank you for making my "Bananaeater"'s birthday breakfast very special!
