This is easy, filling and tastes good. The size of the bowl is important as the first time I made it, it boiled over.

  1. Combine oats, barley, and water in microwave-safe 4-cup bowl. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Uncover bowl, stir in salt. Microwave, uncovered, 6 minutes or until most of liquid is absorbed, stirring well after 3 minutes. (Mine took about 9 minutes).
  3. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. Top with almonds and honey.
