I got this recipe from a market that sold the wild rice. Never tried it, but it seems very easy!!
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
- In a glass baking dish, mix rice, water and bouillon cube.
- Put dish in oven and immediately turn off the oven.
- "In the morning, you will wake to perfect wild rice, every time. Not really sure how much it makes.
- I'm estimating!
Thank you for sharing this! I was having a dinner party with my neighbors recently and I was going to make a wild rice dish instead of a potato side dish. I saw this easy way to prepare wild rice and I thought I'd try it. It turned out to be incredible! I don't like the smell of wild rice cooking. This was fantastic rice, minus the smell. All I did was sauté some mushrooms and onions, shredded a little carrot, added broth and baked for 30 minutes and I had a dish that everyone love.
This is a great way to fix wild rice! I use it a lot and now I have 3 containers ready to go when I need it. I am going to freeze two of them and see how it comes out. Thanks for the recipe. Carole in Orlando
