PERFECTION. I like my potatoes reallly crsipy and this easy method did the trick. I used much less oil. Also I wasn't sure what spike seasoning was, so used cajun seasoning instead with great results. I kept my skillet in the oven while it preheated so the potatoes sizzled nicely when I poured them in. I had to cook at 350 because I was cooking short ribs at the same time. Will make these on a regular basis.
These potatoes were awesome! I just used salt, pepper, & garlic powder. I also sliced some onions in with the taters. Yumm! Will definitely make this again. Thanks for the great recipe! :)
Simple is sometimes best and in this case it sure is. I only sprayed the potatoes with olive oil and they came out lovely & crisp on the outside tender on the inside Excellent Thanks Di for yet another excellent recipe
LOVED this!!! I added a yellow onion, coarsely chopped and 3 minced cloves of garlic; with 20 minutes left I topped with shaved Parmesan and grated sharp cheddar. I used extra virgin olive oil instead of veggie oil. Goes GREAT with scrambled eggs!!! YUM!!! Thanks!
Something this simple and easy to make ain't supposed to taste this good!! I always have the ingredients on hand. Except spike, and that is easily subbed. I used a salt sub of Millers' and some addittional garlic for myself and 6 and 11 year old DGDs who were babysitting me. We all loved it. The 6 year old liked them better after they cooled a bit and she put some in a ziploc bag to keep by her! A real keeper Dib's, thanks for posting. I only wish I had tried them sooner. jim
