Very nice crispy outside, soft inside. I topped with a dollop of fat free sour cream when served. I also used very small fresh potatoes so left whole.

Delicious! I was looking for a basic how-to for oven roasted potatoes and I found a great one. I did a variation though: rendered bacon fat instead of the butter (same ratio)! OMG! Hubby said that the side dish out shone the most excellent pork roast that I served with it. Diners wish their homefries were this good. Will certainly make this recipe again with butter in the near future.

I roast a lot of potatoes in the oven but never thought of making them with butter.I'm sure I had more garlic in there. I'll make this a lot for DDs (they don't care about extra calories).

Good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I peeled my potatoes as my boys prefer them peeled. I cooked mine for an hour. My family enjoyed them. I did add some pepper to mine too when adding the salt and garlic.

Awesome! I used garlic powder as I was out of garlic cloves and they were fantastic! I made these to go with filets and sauteed spinach with a lemon sauce! YUM!!

I love oven roasted potatoes and this recipe is no exception. I was lazy and used garlic salt instead of fresh garlic and salt. The end results were great. Made for Zaar Stars Tag.

I thought these were easy; no muss, no fuss. The butter and garlic imparted a great flavor, and I followed the recipe as written. I'll be making these again. Thanks for sharing, LARAvenscroft.

So simple and delicious! The spices are perfect, they don't cover up the taste of the potato. These were perfect while I cooked on the grill....they made themselves, all I had to do was stir every now and then. Thanks for posting. Made for Zaar Stars!

Great potatoes. To give mine a bit of a head start I steamed them for about 10 minutes. Then tossed them quite roughly so they formed some crunchy edges. Enjoyed by everyone.

DH loved these oven potatoes! He even snuck some after dinner was over while I was sneaking a piece of cake. Super easy to make and since we love garlic super easy to enjoy. I baked them for a good 70 minutes while the rest of our meal was on the BBQ and they were done just right.

We loved these potatoes and they are so simple to make. I didnt have baking potatoes so I used Idaho's and jarred minced garlic. Somehow missed seeing that the butter was supposed to be melted and I cubed the butter. Loved the garlic butter left on the bottom of the baking dish! The potatoes were nice and brown with crispy edges and very tender inside. Served with grilled beef that was marinated in Lori's Soy Sauce Marinade. These will be one of our favorites! Thank you hon for posting. Made and reviewed for Spring 2009 Pick A Chef.

I think the serving size needs adjusting I used 6 medium red baking potatoes and 4 of us gobbled up the lot. I did cut them a little bigger and they took 1 hour to cook to crispy perfection on the outside and soft pillows on the inside. Was surprised that even the DH liked them (he doesn't normally like garlic with his roast or mashed potatoe), I was also worried about the possibility of a burnt butter taste but no that did not happen, baked for 1 hour at 190C in the convection oven. Made for Edition 7 - Make My Recipe.

These potatoes are easy and taste fantastic! My husband and I both love them! We leave out the salt but increase the butter to a 1/2 cup and the garlic to 2 cloves. We love garlic and butter. Thanks HokiesLady!
