This recipe is so simple and fast to prepare and cook. The taste is delicious! The possibilities are endless! I was the only one eating so I just fixed one potato, which I peeled and sliced. I baked it about 30 minutes, turning after 20 minutes. Then I drizzled them with butter as per Uncle Bill's well written instructions. After laying potato slices on the plate I sprinkled them with a little garlic salt, added a dollop of sour cream in the middle, sprinkled all of it with paprika and cheddar cheese. These were absolutely delicious! I recommend that you give them a try. Thank you so much for another recipe to add to my Permanent Cookbook Uncle Bill!

We loved these. My great grandmother used to always peel her potatoes before baking them in the oven, but this recipe gives them more pizazz with the butter, sour cream and chives. It took exactly 35 minutes to bake, not a minute longer. I also used Russet potatoes, peeled. Thanks for posting; I will be making these again and again.
