How cool! This is a wonderful, quick and easy way to prepare rice. Upon reading I was skeptical, but intrigued and I am glad that I tried it. I will definitely be adding this to my rotation. I will be trying this with more of an Asian flare by adding some minced ginger, green onion and diced carrots. I will edit this and update it when I try this version. Thanks for sharing this wonderful, practical recipe. Prepared for P.A.C Spring 2008

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 cups rice, uncooked
  • 3 cups water or 3 cups chicken stock
  • 14 cup oil
  • 14 cup soy sauce

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together, and pour into a Pyrex baking pan.
  2. cover tightly and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, or until rice is done.
  3. Good with pork chops.
