Perfect rice which halves perfectly. I added onion, garlic, and mushrooms. I used a chicken bouillion cube to the simmering water. The rice was done in 20 minutes, and it is delicious!
Absolutely the fastest and easiest. My daughter and myself loved it!! Thanks for sharing
While this may be tasty, all you've done with this recipe is complicate the rice making process. Is it Oven Baked Rice, Stove Top Rice OR Stove Top Started - Oven Finished Rice???
Simple and so good. I used butter and a medium onion. The rice was perfect. Thanks Carla :) Made for Name that ingredient tag game
Very nice rice! I used a saucepan to saute the onions in olive oil, added all the other ingredients and when it came to a boil I put it in a 2 qt glass pan, covered it with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350. I turned out great. We will have this again. Thanks for the recipe.<br/>Carole in Orlando
Fantastic rice! My 8 year old son usually hates rice but he said he really liked THIS rice. (Don't tell him it has onions in it!) The rest of the family enjoyed it too. I made it just as described; it was done after 23 minutes.
Thanks for a great new and different way to make delicious rice!
Perfect rice! The recipe doubled nicely and was used as a base for Roasted Vegetables With Chickpeas. I can see me making this again.
Loved it! No fuss way to make rice that I will make time and again!
This rice is amazing! I never thought that rice would be so easy until I found this recipe! Thank you! It is moist and delicious and even stays moist for leftovers - unlike some rice that turns hard after the first day it is served. I will use this time and time again - and it goes with everything!
I didn't have as much luck with this recipe as others did, apparently. The recipe progressed fine until I baked it in the oven for 20 minutes, then I opened it to see if the liquid was cooked off and was dismayed to see that quite a bit of liquid was still present. I put it back in for another 7 minutes and checked again. There was less liquid, so I let it set covered for 10 minutes, then served. It was gloppy and way too moist. While it tasted fine, we prefer drier rice. thanks for posting.
