You will never believe the ingredients in these meatballs, and they are so yummy! Great appetizer and party dish, serves a crowd. I was almost afraid to try this recipe at first because I never would have thought the sauce could turn out tasting so good.
- 2 lbs frozen meatballs
- 16 ounces sauerkraut
- 16 ounces whole cranberry sauce
- 14 ounces Heinz Chili Sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Empty all ingredients (including frozen meatballs) in deep baking pan, stir together and bake at 350°F for 2 hours.
- Empty all into crock pot (same as above) and cook on low 2-3 hours until meatballs are fully heated.
I will admit that i almost didnt make this because the ingredients didnt seem like they would go well together. I AM SO GLAD I DID TRY THIS. I made this in the crock pot and this really does feed a crowd. I made the full recipe and i think im going to be having meatball sandwiches for a few days :) These meatballs have a light sweet cranberry flavor but its not too much, its just right.
