My daughter found this recipe in a Kid's Cooking magazine, and we have been making it ever since. It is very versatile and is excellent over mixed baby greens, a sliced pear, toasted or sugared pecans and shaved parmesan. The original recipe said to use it for a tomato, basil & bocconcini salad which is also excellent.
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
- salt & pepper
- Whisk all of the ingredients together.
So simple and delicious! I doubled the recipe and it worked out wonderfully on a simple veggie salad with mixed greens, carrots and tomatoes. After reading the other comments, I also added a dash more sugar than called for. Great recipe - thanks!
We love this recipe! I use it over a goat cheese salad and it is the best dressing we have used in this recipe. I did add a little extra sugar but otherwise it works for us.Thanks!
This is a great balsamic dressing recipe, I added 1 tsp sugar as I wanted it a little sweeter. East to prepare and taste is great.
