A dimple naked fruit pudding--lovely for a winter meal.


  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  2. Melt the butter in a 20 x 30 cm ovenproof dish.
  3. Blend 250 ml of the sugar, cake flour, baking powder and milk together.
  4. Pour over the butter, but do not stir.
  5. Arrange the peach slices on top.
  6. Combine the remaining sugar with the cinnamon and nutmeg and sprinkle over the peach slices.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly and serve with cream or custard.
