3/31/10 Yum.. Yum.. Yum, really easy to make and modify.. I did not add the Green Peppers. I used Sosmix for the sausage and I spiced the whole thing up by adding red pepper flakes when I added the tomatoes. I found it needed about 2 cups of fluid, I used vegetable stock for that. Be generous with any of the seasoning and VOILA a most EXCELLENT meal.. it's a keeper.. thank you for posting.
I tried this recipe the other night. It was okay, a little bland for my taste. The sausage added spice, but not enough flavor in the rest. I might try it again, but would add more spices to the mix.
This was really good. I followed the recipe exactly, except that I used Tofurkey Italian style sausages so I added crushed red peppers to make up for the fact that I used a sweeter sausage than called for. It took a little longer than the recipe specifies. This was a great use of ingredients I always have on hand! It is quick and easy, and it makes a TON of food. We'll be eating this all week and that's just fine with me!
