"I found this recipe in a barbecue cookbook years ago. I used it to marinate chicken wings, to rave reviews. Could also be used on pork, meat or fish"

  1. Very good marinade. I used this for shrimp, which I sauteed. I also used plum sauce, olive oil (w/o the sesame oil), 1/2 T ground coriander, and didn't add a chili pepper. I'll definitely try this again with other meats. Yum.

  2. made this on chicken wings. very yummy. Made it for my mother for mothers day dinner. She loved it. Made for RECIPE SWAP #16 - May 2008

  3. Wow yum, tasty marinade! The quantities are just right. I didn't have plum sauce but used plum jam heated in the microwave until it was runny. I used it on seafood skewers and they were really yum! Thanks!

  4. Totally delectable and great on our Panga fish fillets! I added extra chilli and also a bit extra plum sauce too! Thanks for posting this marinade - it will be a regular in our home now! FT:-) (I cut back on the Soy sauce too - we have to watch our salt!)

  5. This was delicious on the chicken I cooked. I used breast fillets, skin off, but skin left on would be very nice too. Thanks for sharing.

Tweaks

  1. Yum! I used this with some Tasmanian salmon cutlets and it was fantastic! I also used honey and the only other substitution I made was using some sweet chili sauce instead of the chili pepper.

Live 1 hour north of Sydney, Australia with my husband, Steve. We both work in Sydney, where I work in the Human Resources department of a charity doing IT work. I barely pick up cookbooks these days, as I cook almost exclusively out of Recipezaar - DH loves the quality & variety of recipes we have now. I've met some lovely people through Zaar in person & in the forums. When I was in Toronto, Canada in October 2007, I had the thrill of meeting & having dinner with ~Leslie~, AnnieCan and Irmagard and their DHs for dinner. This was a fabulous night & everyone was so lovely & welcoming. <IMG src="http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa1/heydarl/Photos/IMG_0956.jpg"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/participantbannerzwt5.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j10/housedaughter/fg.jpg" border="0" alt="F and G Swap"> <img src="http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j10/housedaughter/hiswap.jpg" border="0" alt="H and I"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%204/ZWTAB-tg.gif"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/homepage/ZWT4-CuisinePorter.gif"> <img src="http://www.recipezaar.com/members/home/590105/ff-zwt4.jpg"> <img src="http://www.satsleuth.com/cooking/Swap14.JPG"> <a href="http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Missymop/?action=view¤t=thetassiedevilsbanner.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Missymop/thetassiedevilsbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/smPACp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://www.satsleuth.com/cooking/RecipeSwap2.JPG" width=75%> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://members.aol.com/sdnt4life/floozies.jpg">
