Oriental Chicken OAMC

This is from a OAMC cookbook I borrowed from my friend I'm posting to save for later. Let me know how it is if you try it before I do.
Directions:

Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over low heat.

Add flour and continue to stir over medium heat until bubbly.

Add broth, water, soy sauce, garlic powder, chicken, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.

Cool and freeze in a 1-gallon freezer bag.

To prepare for serving, thaw chicken.

Heat in a pan until bubbly.

Serve over chow mein noodles.

I've been looking for a recipe like that that I could use as a base. I liked it as written and the I have also prepared it with these additions: 1/2 cup sauteed mushrooms, 1/2 cup sauteed celery slices, 1 cup bean sprouts and 1/2 cup sliced almonds. It is great either way. Thanks for sharing.
