I don't think i need to tell you why you need to try this bread. :) Makes a 1 pound loaf
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons yeast
- 3⁄4 cup Oreo cookies (crushed)
- Bake according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Adding the Oreos during the raisin-bread cycle.
- Or five minutes before the final kneading is finished.
I just got my bread machine a couple weeks ago and this was one of the first loaves I made. The family loved it. It wasn't a real sweet bread, just a hint of chocolate. Like Leeannr, I too put a cup of cookies in it. It was great.
Love this! It makes great toast too. Very easy to make. I did have to add about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of extra flour during the first kneading, the dough was too wet. And I added 1 cup of Oreo's-can't have too much of a good thing, can you? But it all worked out fine. The bread is delicious, not overly sweet. My kids love it, but of course, they won't eat the crust, lol. Thanks KM!
Awful! Absolutely awful! Oreos OR bread. Pick ONE. Definitely NOT recommended to be combined together.
