Super easy and delicious. I just melted 2 bags of white chocolate chips in microwave and used for dipping. I reserved about a cup of the food-processed cookie crumbs to sprinkle on top after they were dipped.

Best gift of the holiday season. I made 100's of these and my family and friends still couldn't get enough! The consensus was to covere them with white chocolate. The only tedious part was keeping the chocolate melted. I always use low-fat cream cheese, but next time I am going to try double stuffed oreos!

I used a HEAVY zip-lock bag that formerly held a large supply of chocolate chips. I rolled the cookies into crumbs in it, added the cream cheese, and smushed it together with my hands. Therefore there was no bowl. If you want to make it easier just roll a few balls at a time in confectioners sugar in a second bag, though it may take twice as the sugar may melt into the cookie at first. I used mint flavored cookies for a great holiday treat.

Ok - found this a good recipe - For my Australian friends you will need 2x150g packets of oreo biscuits and 1x250g cream cheese and a 375g bag of dark chocolate which worked the best for me. I used reduced fat cream cheese and made no difference to the texture or outcome of end product. Took the cream out first, blended the biscuits, then added the cream and then the cream cheese. Gave a very light and smooth truffle. I used chocolate to cover the balls and this worked well. Wouldn't use white chocolate though because the balls tended to "crumb" and leave the white chocolate looking dirty but I got around this saying these were "cookies and cream" variety ;) Great recipe!

I use a food processor to grind up the cookies, and add the cream cheese a quarter at a time and get a perfect "dough" to roll into balls. I also add either rum or whatever I feel like at the time to either the cookie mix or the chocolate, depending on who I am serving. The last time I made these I dipped them in dark chocolate and then into toffee bits that I had broken down in the processor. Everyone thought I had spent a fortune on expensive chocolates at some specialty store. Excellent, easy, delicious recipe. I use the cheap off brand oreo type cookies and lowfat cream cheese and then splurge on the liquor and topping. Never fails to be the first consumed and then GONE! wherever I serve them.

Great recipe! I threw the cookies into food processor then used my kitchen aid mixer and scooped it out with my 1" cookie scoop. The only hard part was coating the balls in the chocolate. Dipping them didn't work because they fell into the chocolate due to the weight. I had to drizzle the chocolate on while holding it with a toothpick and even then, sometimes the ball would fall off. All in all, it was totally worth the effort and a big hit with the family and as gifts!

Easy and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly; however, the next time I just might vary the flavors by adding rum, almond, or another flavoring.

We really enjoyed these. Great advice to put the oreos in the food processor first...whipped these up in no time! Will definitely make again.

Easy-peasy to make and any Oreo-type sandwich cookie will work in this recipe. I used cookies from the dollar store. Make sure and let them harden on waxed paper. I put them on a cake rack and they hardened to the wire mesh. A brief time in the oven softened the chocolate enough to enable me to remove the balls to waxed paper. I had a little trouble with the white chocolate/baggie thing as it melted the plastic.

@kristy9188 Put the drizzling chocolate in a plastic bag and cut a TINY piece off the corner. The first time I tried these I used a spoon too and had big globs of chocolate.

Far too sweet for my liking, I made a double batch to make a christmas tree feature and little too none were eaten. I found there were cream cheese chunks in the balls which gave you an almost salty savoury taste in contrast to the oreeo's. I wouldnt make these again. Sorry New Nanna

What a mess to make. I put the cookies in a plastic bag and began to smash them to make crumb. The mixture was like a paste. I then scooped out the mixture and placed it into the blender. When I pulsed the blender it would jam. I took the mixture out of the blender and tried to smash it like mash potatoes but the mixture was too pasty. Rather then quit I decided to finish the recipe the best I could. Ater leaving the mixture in the refridgerator over night, I bit into one and ran to the garbage can to spit it out. awful.

I am sorry to say that I made these for Christmas and my family did not care for them. I thought they were just OK. My mother said they tasted like chewed up oreos. If you are a huge fan or oreos, perhaps you will like them. I seem to be in the minority here, but to each his own I suppose. The positive side: they are very easy to make!
