Orange & Wildberry Oatmeal

"Who doesn't love oatmeal in the morning? Packed with fibre, whole grain oats are a tasty and nutritious way to start your day!! Another great recipe from Smuckers!! This can be tasty served with Oatmeal, Nut and Berry Breakfast Bars"

• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 2 cups water
• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 1⁄3 cups quick oats
• 1⁄3 cup smuckers pure wildberry jam
• 3⁄4 cup plain yogurt
• 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

directions

1. Bring water and juice to a boil in a saucepan; stir in oats. Return to a boil, reduce heat and simmer. Cook uncovered for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, remove from heat. Stir in jam. Let stand for 2 minutes, covered.
2. Divide oatmeal evenly into 4 bowls and serve with yogurt, if desired drizzle with jam and nuts.

I used blood orange juice (from two medium) and blood orange marmalade in this and it was very good! Next time I will use the full liquid amount as juice to really punch up the flavor. I know it works with grapefruit in Recipe #296096. I also want to try this with regular orange as well. Nice way to spice up your oatmeal!
