Very easy and tasty rice dish.
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 3⁄4 cup shredded carrot
- salt and white pepper
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
- Cook the rice according to the package directions using orange juice in place of the water.
- Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest, carrot and green onion.
REALLY, REALLY NICE TASTING RICE, & a recipe that I'll definitely make again! We really enjoyed the orange flavor here & think it would be great used with other rices as well! I love rice, and I thought this was just fantastic. Very citrusy and tasty. The recipe states that it serves 6-8, but it was just enough to serve my family of 5 (with no leftovers). Thanks for sharing your recipe, susie cooks. Made for "New Kids On The Block" tag game.
