Pound cake really can't get any better than this, I used 2 tablespoons of orange rind in place of the extract and used fresh orange juice, also I used half cake flour and half all-purpose, thanks for this great recipe pattikay!...Kitten:)

Did everything to the T. Was very thick going in pan. Was still a little raw inside when done. Couldn't bake any longer or would have burned.. Maybe oven temp is off a little. Why so thick ?

Tried this out yesterday and it turns out perfect!!! <br/>I added 2 tbsp. orange rind, 1 tbps lemon rind & 1 tbps lemon juice, too.<br/>Everyone loves it! Yummy! Will do it again!<br/>Thanks, Pattikay!

Made for Jan., 2008 Beverage Tag. Very good pound cake recipe. I loved the orange flavor in the cake, as well as in he glaze. Thanks for a great recipe, pattikay.

A comment and a review here. First the cake is simply divine and has every quality attributed to this group of cakes from the crispy lightly crunchy exterior to the dense but still delicate crumb, and the rich taste of butter in every delectable bite. Not exactly diet-friendly, but ohhh what a treat. I made my glaze with orange liquor instead of orange juice. The recipients of this gift will be over the moon. Now for the comment: I made just half a batch since the intended audience is just a small group and prepared it in a loaf pan. It was really too much batter for the pan and rose too high and subsequently sank a bit from the height and weight. While this in no way affected the taste (since the outside is my favorite - for me this was a bonus - like I need a reason to eat more cake) it did make the cake less attractive. Next time I will pull about a cup of batter out of the loaf pan and bake a separate mini-cake. Ooooo, more cake for me. Thanks pattikay for a real delight.

This is an outstanding pound cake -very moist, with great orange flavor. I painted the glaze on with a pastry brush - and it turned out beautiful, then I dusted it with fresh orange rind! Thanks for a great recipe!!
