  1. my suggestion is not using a whole grapefruit. I put in some peach nectar and yogurt and that helped it, but the grapefruit made it too tarty. next time, I'm going to add a banana and maybe a couple of strawberries. but overall, don't add so much grape fruit. the grapefruit over powered the whole smoothie. do about 1/2 or 1/4 grapefruit.

  2. Really refreshing! I was too lazy and impatient to freeze the segments and it still turned out great. Thanks for posting the recipe.

  3. Will admit that I made one major change, but it works so well for me ~ I used a frozen banana instead of the ice cubes! A tablespoon of dark honey was included, & we really enjoyed the citrus combo in this smoothie! Definitely a winner! Thanks for sharing the recipe! 4. The kids tried it but preferred to donate their share to me. I liked the tartness of this.

  5. Wow! Vitamin C heaven :) I altered it around a bit, just because I couldn't help myself and ate half of the grapefruit before getting it into the blender haha! I used half a grapefruit, 1 medium navel orange, about 5 strawberries, and the juice of half a lime, with about a cup of ice and 4-5 splenda packets. It was divine. Thank you for posting this...soooo refreshing.

RECIPE SUBMITTED BY

I'm a university student and I like baking and cooking but I'm not that good at following recipes. I always add my own ingredients. I have this little recipe book where I have written all the recipes myself and none of them are like the way they were in the original source. Probably the biggest reason why I modify recipes is that I'm just a poor student and I can't afford to buy certain cheeses or exotic fruit and vegetables. If necessity is the mother of all invention then living on government subsidies is the father:) Everytime I cook for my best friend, she looks at the dish with a bit of wonder and takes the first bite with caution. That tells a lot: you never know what to expect when you eat my cooking. Sometimes I make really good food and sometimes it's only good for feeding the toilet.
