This recipe comes from the 2004 cookbook, Raw Foods for Busy People! Preparation time does not include the time needed for raisins to soak in the OJ!
- 1⁄4 cup raisins
- 1⁄4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 apple, cored, chopped
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1⁄2 cup pecans
- 1⁄4 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 banana, ripe, frozen
- In a small bowl combine raisins & orange juice & let set for several hours.
- After raisins have soaked, place all ingredients in the bowl of a blender & process until smooth.
- Pour into a tall glass & ENJOY!

This is pretty good but I think I would like it better with 2 frozen bananas. It'd be a little sweeter and a little colder. Still, good as is. Thanks! Reviewed for the May Veg*n Recipe Swap.
