This taste just like Orange Julius. The texture doesn't have as much pulp as the original. This is diffently a keeper! To make thicker I used 10 ice cubes instead of the water... this is more of a smoothie. My husband don't mind taking this with his ground flaxseed... mmmmmmmmmm good!
I enjoyed this this afternoon. It made 1 serving for me. Thank you for sharing!
There was once an Orange Julias place in the mall near our house. It isn't there any more. But now I can make my own! Thank you!!
tastes like orange julius! next time, i will add more ice cubes, for more of a slushee.
This was great...all three kids loved it and it really was not that bad for them. I got crushed ice out of my fridge first since my blender sucks!!
So I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to get the house clean before the holidays. I stopped to take a quick break and came across this recipe. WOW! Memories... My Dad used to take me out for these at the mall while we waited for my Mom to finish shopping. It was always a special treat. I can't wait to make these when he comes for Thanksgiving next week. Until then the family is demanding another batch (I followed the recipe to a T) and I have more chores to tackle. Thanks for the special treat in an otherwise hectic day. Cheers!
It taste exactly the same!! Finally someone has worked out the exact ingrediants. Thanks heaps! By the way, Orange Julius is still around in Singapore. Just a little trivia. :)
At first I hadn't intended to change the recipe, but at the last minute I left out the water & added 1 small seedless orange (the entire orange!), chopped up! That added the pulp I wanted & made the whole thing a bit thicker, as well, which 2 of us thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks for posting your recipe! [Made & reviewed in Healthy Choices ABC recipe tag]
It tastes just like the Orange Julius minus the eggs they use to put into it for frothiness. I use to watch them make them, when I was on break.
This was SO good! It doesn't taste -exactly- like Orange Julius, but VERY close! I think I might even like this more than Orange Julius!! I made it twice, on the second try I added a little bit more milk and water as it was a bit thick. But that all depends on your smoothie texture preference. Thank you for posting this recipe, I'll be making it for years to come!
