These were wonderful and I saw on the today show and googled the recipe and Aimee who made them, to watch it again. These are simple to make, but i like the today show recipe better than this one. Here in southern California, we try to be southern, too. I wrote to Aimee on her website, and told her to go get on the Food TV channel. I enjoy real people cooking like this. I have made 10 batches of orange juice balls since seeing them on the today show. Looking forward to watching you make more recipes, Aimee. I will follow as a fan. thanks for writing me back. Good luck, and everyone should make these. Use 3 cups powedered sugar, 1 box vanilla wafers, 1 small can frozen orange juice and 1 stick melted butter. Roll in nuts, or powdered sugar or coconut. I have done all three and they are great.

On the Today show, it said to use a 6 oz can of frozen orange juice. In the recipe listed on their web site, it doesn't mention butter. I imagine this wouldn't work without butter. Glad i looked it up here before making it!

I saw this on GMA or Today but they didn't say how much OJ so I looked it up on the 'zaar and here it was. On TV, they said to blend a whole box of vanilla wafers, add 1 sick of melted butter, I upped the OJ to 1/2 cup (which was perfect as this is a bigger recipe) and used 3/4 of a 1 pound box of powdered sugar. I didn't use any nuts. The dough is hard to stir so I dumped it on the counter and kneaded it to blend. Then I took a med. scoop and formed a ball, then had to knead each one in my hand to get a nice, firm ball. Then I rolled them in powdered sugar. They are very good if you are an orange fan. I bet subbing lemonade conc. and making lemon balls would be good also.
