Once I got through mixing the Cajun seasoning, brown sugar & salt, this recipe was a snap, & we thoroughly enjoyed the glaze! We eat quite a bit of salmon at our house, so this very tasty way of preparing it is a definite keeper! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in Newest Zaar Tag]

  • 3 tablespoons ajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (I used brown sugar splenda)
  • 14 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 12 lbs salmon, filet (original recipe says skinless but I cooked mine with the skin on or peeling it off after it is cooke)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 14 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 lime, juice only


  1. In a cup or bowl combine seasoning (cajun seasoning - salt) and rub over salmon -- you will have extra for another purpose.
  2. Cook salmon in the oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium high heat for 3-5 minutes, turn and cook other side for 3-5 minutes.
  3. In a small cup blend marmalade and lime juice; swirl in the skillet until melted; turning fish to glaze on all sides and cook until salmon is cooked through and begins to flake.
