Orange Dream Cake

A lighter version of the Creamsicle Cake. We can finally have our cake and eat it too! Can't remember where this originated but I have served this at family dinners without anyone suspecting it was low fat. Made as presented this is 4 points per piece. Cooking time includes chilling time.

the cake part of this was AMAZING. :) I could not believe it was low-fat! the jello was a nice touch to make this cold cake taste especially yummy. I too couldn't find orange cake mix so I used white cake mix which worked out well. the topping part of this, however, did not work very well for me. I followed the directions exactly and it came out very sticky/gummy in texture. the flavor was good - but the texture took away from that. I think next time I'll either just have the cake plain with no topping or with a store-bought frosting. I will still be making this cake again & again! I can't wait to try it with other flavors, lemon/strawberry/etc. thank you so much for sharing this nice summertime low-fat treat!
