The ingredients in this slushy beverage tastes just like orange Creamsicles. If you don't have time to freeze the orange juice, use orange sorbet instead. From TOH Parties, Potlucks and Barbecures. Prep times does not include freezing time.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Pour the orange juice into a 2-quart container; cover and freeze for 2 hours or until slushy, stirring twice.
  2. To serve, pour slush into eight glasses. Add a scoop of ice cream to each glass. Garnish with orange slices if desired.

If you make sure to get a little of this and a little of that in one spoonful you'll no doubt convince yourself that you are indeed having a creamsicle. Made for RS#41.

I just love citrus fruits and don't know how I have missed this in the past!! This is fantastic!! I put the OJ in the freezer at lunch time and two hours later I was ready to dive into this slush, although I only made 1 serving size. This was so refreshing on a 90 degree afternoon and I loved the slushiness of the OJ with the creamy ice cream!! Thanks for sharing a wonderful recipe. Made for PAC Fall 09.

This was very refreshing! It really did taste like a creamsicle. It was perfect on the warm day we were having. I will be making this again. Thanks for the great recipe.
