Orange Cream Cheese Spread

"Delicious on toasted tea breads or bagels. I developed it to liven up a bland tea bread I had made. Prep time does not include chilling time."

  1. Oh my, EVERYONE raved about this. I served it as an appetizer and everyone asked for the recipe. LOVED the orange flavor with the cream cheese.....very light and refreshing. I didn't add all of the orange juice to make it a little thicker. This recipe will make a repeat performance again and again. Thanks for sharing this winner, Okra!!!!

  2. Now this puppy is good! I thought the bold orange flavor was very fresh tasting and it was perfectly sweet for me. I did reduce the OJ amount to give the spread more body. I ate some on a bagel as an afternoon snack and loved it! This is a real keeper. Thanks for posting!

  3. This was pretty good. I liked the orange flavor. I just wish it was a little bit more sweeter. I think next time, I may add some powdered sugar to it and see if that sweetens it up.

  4. This was a welcome change for me. I tried it on a toasted English muffin instead of plain cream cheese. It actually was a bit to strong of a flavor and when I make it again, I will cut back on the zest(I used 3 tsp).I think the concentrate can be lessened too, so the consistency will be a bit thicker. As "Martha" would say, "this is a good thing."
