We love my modified version...
I made as directed. I realized it was going to be way too hot for my kids, so I used a strainer to take out the crushed red pepper, which seems to have contributed to the wonderful combination of flavors even though I took it out. Then I tasted it andk new it needed to be a little sweeter for my kids to like it, so I added another tablespoon of sugar. Wala! Everyone loved it, especially my husband.
We were finishing a box of egg rolls from Costco and didn't have any of the sweet orange sauce that came with it... now we have a sauce that's even better.
- 118.29 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- 44.37 ml sugar
- 44.37 ml soy sauce
- 9.85 ml lime juice, about 1/2 lime
- 14.79 ml sesame oil
- 14.79 ml balsamic vinegar
- 4.92 ml chili flakes
- 4.92 ml kosher salt
