This is very similar to an Orange Julius. The recipe was clipped from our local newspaper many years ago, when there was massive media attention on finding the actual recipe for the original Orange Julius drink. This was a major contender, which soon gained its own popularity among those who preferred this blended drink over the actual Orange Julius drink.

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend for about 30 seconds, or until the drink is smooth and frothy.
  2. Serve in tall, chilled glasses.
  3. VARIATIONS - For variety, try other frozen juice flavors, such as banana, mango, pineapple, strawberry, strawberry-banana, passion fruit, pineapple-orange, or lime daiquiri.

Very good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I couldn't find dream whip so I used cool whip instead. We all enjoyed this.

Delicious and as close as it comes to an Orange Julius!!! I followed exactly as written, except only made half of the recipe. I then served it over ice, which is the major difference from orange julius, as they blend it with ice. Thanks for sharing Northwest!!! Made for potluck tag

Love the name & loved the drink, even though, for us, it made just 2 very tall drinks! This has certainly made it into my keeper file! Thank you so much! [Tagged, made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in the current Pick-A-Chef]
