Good Housekeeping July 2007 under the Celeb Dish. It is really tasty and is a way better alternative than loading up on sweets.
- 2 cups low-fat chocolate soymilk (preferably 8th continent)
- 2 medium bananas, cut up
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- Put all ingredients in blender and blend until very smooth. Serve immediately.
Great tasting smoothie, frosty & thick (with the frozen berries), just the way we like it! Yet another wonderful keeper smoothie recipe! [Made & reviewed in Healthy Choices ABC tag]
Made as written (only used Silk brand). The frozen berries thickened this up nicely. Much easier than using crushed ice. Loved the flavor. Made for Fall 2008 PAC.
This is a very tasty smoothie. I did change it to 1% milk mixed with chocolate powder instead of the choc. soymilk as a personal preference and used fresh strawberries that I let set with a couple tbls of sugar to create a syrup instead of the frozen. I just prefer fresh over frozen when possible. It is a very nice smoothie and my son just loved it! Thanks for posting! Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Tag Apr 08
