This simple, but delicious recipe comes from my Mayberry cookbook. Real lemons are a must!
- Slice lemon into thin rings.
- Place in a porcelain or enamel container.
- Add the sugar and pound with wooden mallet to extract the juice.
- Let the mixture stand for 20 minutes.
- Add the cold water and ice cues as desired.
- Stir until well blended.
